Hi , we are definitely enjoying the album- it’s beautiful. What I loved about LaVphoto and LaVcinema……everything!! I am so happy I chose you to shoot my wedding pictures. The day of we never felt pressured or as if the photographers were in our face. In fact I almost felt as if they were invisible but yet the proof is in the pictures- they were there snapping every important moment. The quality of the pictures and the wonderful ideas Vera had to get the perfect shot made freezing my butt off all worth it!!! I unfortunately have nothing bad to say. I wish you guys all the best and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my wedding pictures so absolutely beautiful.

We have recommended you to many of our friends and family. Also, when we compared our pictures and video to other couples we did not regret our decision!

The thing we loved the most is the personalized touch in both the video and pictures. They were original, artistic and absolutely beautiful. Also we both felt very comfortable with Vera and Gleb which is important in order to look natural…

The wedding took place at the family Mansion in Ile Bizarre where Francois grew up. When we were arriving we actually passed it a few times because we thought it was a golf course.

It felt like the house was specially built with the wedding in mind. The third floor with its triangle roof where the ceremony was held looked just like a wedding chapel. The huge atrium, complete with a second floor balcony was a perfect place for the wedding reception. Best of all was the spiral staircase that felt like it came right out of a castle!!!! This unique  piece of architecture was the magical part of the house and  was the perfect place to take romantic pictures of princesses and princes. I think every guest could feel how much love was put into this house and how many stories it holds within its walls.

Jaime did a wonderful job at decorating the place with floral pieces, modern white furniture and beautiful white flower pomanders hanging from the ceiling.

Julie looked stunning in her elegant dress. She has a beautiful smile and big deep eyes perfect for photography, but surprisingly was a bit shy to take pictures. “Please tell me what to do”-she was saying. “Just be yourself, talk to your friends, have fun, don’t think about posing” – I would reassure her. We walked around the house and explored many beautiful walls, corners, stairs and windows. We also went on the outside terrace with Julie & Francois, I was happy to notice that she became more relaxed as we were navigating through the house. The most important thing in wedding image a is that feeling of being natural.

The party was a lot of fun! There was a very cozy homy ambience. The house was filled with the closest friends and family that knew each other forever and of course they all went totally crazy!

Maryse has such a bubbly personality that everything  just starts to dance in her presence. That is why she makes such a perfect couple with a big hearted and always happy Yannick.

This winter wedding was full of love, joy and funny jokes. The best men’s speech was hilarious! He talked about Yanick’s life before and after Maryse. It was a true stand up comedy! Everybody was laughing to tears, and I almost deoped my camera!

The most important guest was a full sized picture of Kovy (the couple’s dog named after Alex Kovalev-the hockey player) that followed them everywhere from the ceremony to the reception. Unfortunately the real life Kovy-the-dog had to stay home, but he had his star moment a couple of months before the wedding during the casual session.

The wedding was organized by Jaime Korey from Over the Top events with beautiful decorations, centerpieces, flowers and an amazing state of the art signature sweets table. The beautiful wedding cake was done by Patricia from Dolce Piu.

Maryse was courageous enough to go out in the cold and snow at night in her practically open wedding dress. We got gorgeous dramatic pictures, even though we did not have a lot of time for the shoot. Maryse and Yanick were made for the camera. They were totally in their own world, cuddling, interacting, kissing and just so in love and emotional, it was a pleasure to shoot their wedding!

It is always interesting shooting for Les Noces Couture on location in their shop located on de la Montagne. I love getting a sneak peek at the upcoming styles and new beautiful dresses for the upcoming season. Here is a sneak peek of some of the shots I took that I can share with you all, I hope you enjoy them!

I am so happy and exited to announce that my wedding images got another 4 international awards!!!! This time the wedding photography award was given by WPJA (Wedding photojournalist association).

WPJA is a purely photojournalistic organization that accepts the submission of strictly natural wedding images. It’s forbidden to stage or to pose the couple or to influence the real moment in any way.

 2 of the images came from the beautiful Montreal Italian wedding of Brunella and Donato, one of the first dance and one of the crazy musicians.

The Architectural image is from Kato & Marc’s wedding at the Montreal Science Center and the action images is from Catherine and Steven’s amazing wedding organized by the talented wedding planner Maryse Noel.

Terry, not being a run-of-the mill bride designed and hand sewed her own wedding dress. Their venue at La Maison Pierre du Calvet, an ancestral family Mansion built in 1725, was chosen to fit their theme. The couple wanting an intimate wedding had no guests and no Officiate; they held a small private ceremony where they exchanged rings. We spent the afternoon shooting their pictures in old Montreal and even though their wedding was small and quaint it left a very big impression on us.

Last week we had such a busy and exciting time at the WPPI (Wedding & Portraits Photographers international) Conference and trade show.  We came home exhausted but full of new ideas and inspiration but more importantly overjoyed by winning several Awards of Excellence in the WPPI International Prestigious Print Competition.

I want to remind all the men out there planning on getting married, have already said their I dos or men who are yet to propose to their beloved, that women can not resist it when their man gets all dressed up! Really, how could us women resist it when you are looking your best and letting your excitement and emotions shine through, dressed in your finest. It melts our hearts every time!

Sure male celebrities make it look easy and to be honest taking a great portrait isn’t all that hard. Sure they might be good looking men but it’s all about presentation: the lighting, the pose, the clothes and of course the expression! Guys, Grooms don’t be shy! Relax and act naturally, project your confidence and most importantly have fun doing your portraits and I’m sure we could get a shot worthy of the front of a magazine.
